Football Concession Stand Workers  

      The International Christian Fellowship helps to provide workers at a concession stand inside Beaver Stadium for each home game this Fall. We will need 10-15 workers for each game. The basic information is given below. Contact Bill Saxton at wjs9@psu.edu if you are interested.

      We need 10 workers for each game. If you are willing to help a good cause, and to also watch a little of the game at points, let me know. Tickets for the free admission to enter the stadium to work, and other instructions, will be given to workers at the Friday Fellowship of ICF or I can make other arrangements to get the ticket to you prior to 6 pm on Friday.

      The time of the game each week varies due to television coverage contracts. So that we can be prepared when the gates open and we begin to sell, we will need to arrive between 2.5-3 hours before the scheduled start of the game; those who arrive first will be freed to leave earlier before the game ends. The game usually lasts about 3 hours.

       The concession stand is a big room under the stadium seats, where we sell hot chocolate and coffee, Pepsi, pretzels, hot dogs, pop corn, etc. Some people do the actual money transactions, while others do the preparation of the foods. It's a lot of fun, though we can be very busy and are working hard at times. Each worker gets a free hamburger, nachos, or other food item, and unlimited soda to drink. There will be times when we are less busy and you can watch some of the game and enjoy the special atmosphere of the event.
